**This lesson would be formatted for second graders**
ISTE Standard: (4. Critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making)
Students use critical thinking skills to plan and conduct research, manage projects, solve problems, and make informed decisions using appropriate digital tools and resources.
Part C- Collect and analyze data to identify solutions and/or make informed decisions d. Use multiple processes and diverse perspectives to explore alternative solutions
For the task of problem solving and deduction; the students will have their time in the computer lab and they will research what classifies each book into the category that they are in. They will need to search for reasons and examples before categorizing the books that are given to them on the chart. This gives students the chance to become familiar with research and using technology for that purpose will also help them learn more about different writing styles and books in their grade level.
The learning target and objective of these tasks is to get to the point where students are familiar with all of the different writing styles, what makes them that way and how voice from the narrator shifts from each type of book or story.

TASK CARD #2: Station Two “Story Categories”
